1) What exactly is included in your Accounts Receivable service:

We take care of the claim from start to finish. After we receive the routing slips from your office we do the data entry for the claim. We then submit the claim either electronically or by paper, depending on the insurance company. If payment hasn’t been received within 45 days we make a follow up phone call. We handle dealing with denials. After payment is received we will post they payment to the patient’s account.

2) Does mergeMD get the checks from insurance companies directly?

No, payments will be sent to your office to be deposited. A copy will need to be made and sent to us so we can post the payment correctly.

3) How do the routing slips get from my office to mergeMD?

There are a couple of different options for this. Depending on the size of your account. Your account may be small enough to fax the routing slips to our office or you may need to mail them to us. This decision is entirely up to you. We work with each client to find out what fits them best. In some cases we pick up from our client’s office throughout the week.

4) How will I know how much money is still outstanding?

At the end of the month you will receive an Aged Trial Balance Report. This report will outline exactly how much money is still outstanding and how old it is. We also include reports showing how many patients were seen that month, charges and deposits. This is a good way for you keep track of the patterns of your practice.

5) Do you collect from patients?

Yes, if there are patient’s that owe money due to deductibles or co pays then we send out patient statements to them monthly. We will send out 3 statements and try to reach the patient by phone before suggesting the account be sent to a collections agency.

6) When are we invoiced?

At the end of each month, after all the deposits have been posted.

7) What is your rate?

Our rate structure is based on a percentage value. You only pay us for what we collect. Therefore, we are motivated to make you as much money as possible. Rates are determined depending on the size of the account. Please feel free to contact us for a free quote.
